Why this, why now
Education is the surest way out of poverty. This project builds a full school for a community where children have nowhere to learn, giving them classrooms, clean facilities and qualified teachers. An ongoing sadaqah that educates generations. Represented by its ambassador, Sheikh Adnan.

From the field
How it works
- Pick a monthly amount. From £5. One pledge, changed or cancelled any time in one tap.
- It pools with everyone else. 1,920 members give to this syndicate every month, which is what makes a well or a school possible.
- You see where it went. READ Foundation delivers on the ground, and the photos, video and receipts come back to you.
The honest numbers
- 80% goes to READ Foundation. The other 20% is our results fee, published up front. It pays for vetting partners, collecting proof from the field and running the platform.
- A vetted UK charity delivers it. READ Foundation is registered charity number 1136559.
- Sadaqah, not zakat. Every syndicate is labelled clearly, so you always know which kind of giving it counts as.
