Why this, why now
A masjid is the heart of a community. This project builds a place of worship for remote, impoverished villages, complete with wudu facilities and a Qur'an school, serving generations of worshippers.

From the field
How it works
- Pick a monthly amount. From £5. One pledge, changed or cancelled any time in one tap.
- It pools with everyone else. 192 members give to this syndicate every month, which is what makes a well or a school possible.
- You see where it went. Salam Charity delivers on the ground, and the photos, video and receipts come back to you.
The honest numbers
- 80% goes to Salam Charity. The other 20% is our results fee, published up front. It pays for vetting partners, collecting proof from the field and running the platform.
- A vetted UK charity delivers it. Salam Charity is registered charity number 1146298.
- Sadaqah, not zakat. Every syndicate is labelled clearly, so you always know which kind of giving it counts as.
